Dr. Sazini
I was probably an annoying kid: curious, self-reliant and always questioning.
Now I help overwhelmed parents of kids with neurodevelopmental disabilities create an individualized roadmap for their family so they can reduce stress, embrace the unique way their child is flourishing and live their dream life with calm confidence.
Both my children were diagnosed with autism at 2 years old. As confusing, stressful and exhausting as those early days were, I was determined that ultimately, my family would not just survive but would thrive. I wanted us to live the best lives that we could land do the things I had always imagined for us: travelling, enjoying the outdoors and entertaining friends and family. I committed to finding solutions that would allow us to have it all, even with special needs.
I am the proud author of Beautiful, Inside and Out. What You Ought to Know About Autism. Although this book makes no attempt at sugar-coating the challenges of parenting a child with autism, it is a positive, packed with practical advice and also shares the successes of countless families from different parts of the world.
I love solutions that give you, the parent, a central role in your child’s development because I know you are the expert on your child and can have the greatest impact on their well being. While starting anything new can be daunting, especially when it impacts our children, having an experienced guide who has walked along the same path before us is comforting.
